You might have already noticed, I have re-named my blog: Plateful Nutrition. You can still access my website using cherryblueberry.com for a short time, but please save the new domain for the future: platefulnutrition.co.
So why the name change?
It has been on my mind for a while to change the name of the blog. While I like the catchy name cherryblueberry, I felt my blog has evolved since its inception and that I needed a name that better represents me, my philosophy and the content I now share here. I am a fan of both the word and the meaning of plateful. Just as I am of nutrition. My philosophy about food and nutrition is that one should not relate food to restriction and sacrifice. There is still this big misconception, that in order to be healthy and fit one has to be on a restrictive diet. This can never end well, and after a short while, you will be back to where you started. The reason is that this kind of eating is not sustainable in the long run. I believe one can achieve optimal health and wellness, and still eat plenty of food, a real plateful! This is a lifestyle choice, not a short term diet. I do not count calories, or think of how I’ll burn them off later. I simply make informed and conscious food choices. I eat real food, lots of fruits and vegetables and I cook. I also honour my body and strive to find balance in food, relationships, and activities. Because in the end, it is also not only food that fuels us.
Website changes
I have now included a recipe menu, where you will find all my recipes in one place, sorted by the categories: Breakfast, Dips & Spreads, Salads, Smoothies & Juices, Snacks, Mains and Sweet Treats. This will make it easier for you to browse through the recipes and find exactly what it is you are looking for. I have added a new page about my Services as well and will keep making more updates and improvements with time.
I would love to know what you think of these changes, and if you have any suggestions for more improvements, let me know in the comments!
With gratitude,
Vesela
