It’s been a while since I shared my favourites with you. Let me make this up today. In fact, I have a few items I’d like to share with you, and today we will focus on beauty! I also have tried a product from a local company here in Luxembourg, called Naturalis Balance, and have a special discount for you so keep on reading. 🙂
We recently came back from the U.S. and besides the great food we had, I also enjoyed discovering new cosmetic products. The ones I am sharing with you today are the ones that I really like and that are making a difference in my life, so I hope you’ll find them useful.
1.  Schmidt’s naturals Deodorants
I have been looking for a good, natural deodorant for a very long time, and honestly I never found one that I absolutely love. Up until this point that is. This deodorant is made of natural ingredients only (arrowroot powder, baking soda, coconut oil and essential oils), and does not contain any nasty chemicals, aluminum or alcohol. Many cosmetics contain ingredients that can be endocrine disruptors (and you don’t want to mess with your hormones!), and can add a toxic load to your body. Let’s not forget that what you put on your skin is just as it is important as what we put in our belly. Our skin can absorb a lot of chemicals, so read the ingredients of the cosmetics you buy as you read the food nutrition labels.
This deodorant gets 10 points for ingredients, but it also gets 10 points for effectiveness! It really works, it is handy to use (I personally prefer a deodorant stick to roll-on) and it smells so good! I got Ylang-ylang and calendula scent for me and love it! My husband uses the cedarwood and juniper, which has more of an earthy and masculine scent. He’s also very happy with this product.
2. Simplers Botanicals Argan oil
Argan oil is traditionally used in Morocco for both culinary and beauty purposes. It contains a rich blend of essential fatty acids, anti-oxidants and vitamin E – important for skin health. It is well known for its beneficial effect on the skin, and now even research provides a scientific basis for that. It can help tone the skin, prevent aging and even reduce skin problems. I use it in the evenings after I clean my face. I put a few drops on my palms and rub them to warm up the oil. Then I apply it on the skin of my face and around the eyes. It absorbs quickly and is not greasy. It can also be applied on the hair or used as carrier oil together with essential oils. My skin feels softer since I started using it and I love the versatility of its use.
3. Organic coconut oil toothpaste
I got this toothpaste for my baby, since she is too young to spit out the toothpaste after we brush her teeth. And even if you use only a small amount of toothpaste, knowing that she might be swallowing potentially nasty ingredients does not leave me feeling great. This toothpaste contains coconut oil, baking soda and banana powder and it’s very handy. My baby likes the coconut and banana flavour, which makes tooth brushing much easier! 🙂
I purchased this cream in a little shop in L.A. and I absolutely love it! It moisturizes the hands very well, and absorbs quickly. It did wonders for me during our flight back to Europe, as my hands tend to get dry on the plane. Now with the cold and windy weather it is just the perfect protection for my hands, as it lasts long and really makes a difference for my hands. It also smells lovely and I like the ingredients.
5. Naturalis Balance Bee Bread
I met Vincent, the founder of Naturalis Balance a few months ago and we talked for an hour about health and fitness. I love his enthusiasm and passion for health and how he works to bring more quality products to Luxembourg with his company.
I got to try the bee bread that you can find on his website and have been taking a few drops in the morning. As a busy mom, and one that doesn’t get much sleep these days, I need all the energy I can get in the morning. Bee bread gives me an energy burst that doesn’t jolt me the way coffee used to, but is smooth and long lasting. Bee bread is a mixture of pollen, honey and enzymes. It is a fermented product, which additionally enriches it in nutrients (3 times higher in its nutritional and antimicrobial value than bee pollen!).
Bee bread is a great source of vitamins (A, B, C, E and K), enzymes and minerals, such as potassium, zinc, magnesium and iron. It is a well-rounded multivitamin supplement on its own!
Vincent and I decided to collaborate and I’ve got a special discount if you’d like to try out the bee bread from Naturalis Balance or the other products on their website. Simply insert [PLATEFUL-NB] at checkout and you’ll get 15% off from your purchase.
This is all from me for today. I hope you liked my monthly favourites and until next time!

Awesome tips! I’ve tried a different brand of natural deodorant before and let’s just say, “it was a smelly.” lol. Definitely going to try the Schmidts brand!
