Happy New Year dear ones! I apologize from being absent for a month here, but the truth is I have been so incredibly busy, that I simply couldn’t find enough time to focus on a new article. And I have made the promise to myself to focus on quality over quantity this year. With everything going on I just felt too pressured to post an article and ultimately whenever I sat down to write I felt blocked. So I let it be. It is important to acknowledge our boundaries and not to overstress from our own sometimes-unrealistic expectations. So I did just that this month.
But today dear friend, I am writing with so much excitement and joy, because I can finally share with you what I’ve been working so much on for the past few months (actually almost a year now)! I have mentioned here in the past that I am working on a children’s book.
After many months of hard work I am so happy to announce that our children’s book-set called “DeeDee Discovers Fruits and Vegetables” just launched on Kickstarter.com!

With this book-set we hope we can inspire healthy eating habits in children, by creating a positive association with fruits and vegetables. The book-set contains the story book “Who’s Afraid of the Big Bad Bunch?” and the discovery book “The Secret Power of Food”.
The engaging storybook tells the story of DeeDee, who sets on an adventure to defeat a monster in the kitchen and discovers the secret powers of fruits and vegetables. Her story will allow your child to learn about the origins and benefits of fruits and vegetables in a fun, playful way.
Our discovery book “The Secret Power of Food” will take the child’s newfound interest in fruits and vegetables to the next level. Filled with activities, fun stories, experiments and challenges, your child will experience fruits and vegetables through games and play. The discovery book also contains healthy recipes that you can prepare with your child for the entire family.
If you have children aged 2 to 5, or nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and friends with children, this book-set will offer an incredible gift that they will love, and will show you care!
So why have we launched on Kickstarter?
Kickstarter is the world’s largest funding platform for creative projects. Even though many projects there need funding so that they can be created, our book-set is technically ready. What we need help with is funding the printing.

How can you help?
You can help us bring this project into a reality by simply by pre-ordering your book-set here on Kickstarter! Our Early Bird offer on Kickstarter gives you a 25% discount on the regular price of the book-set so don’t miss this opportunity! The offer is limited to the first 200 book orders only!
Nothing would make me happier than seeing more children eating fruits and vegetables and reading DeeDee’s story. Children are our future and by setting a good and healthy nutritional foundation from early on, they can grow up to be the healthy and happy individuals we hope them to be.
So click here to go to our Kickstarter page and pre-order a copy of this groundbreaking book-set that could be yours!
According to Kickstarter’s rules we need to fund the project 100% within 30 days for it to be successful, so please share our Kickstarter campaign with your network! We believe this book-set is needed and can really make a difference in the relationship children have with fruits and vegetables.
Thank you all so much for your love and support!
With much gratitude,
Vesela
Dear Vesela,
I´ve just come across this post, checked out the book preview and am speechless with admiration and Oh-my-god-I-d-love-to-give-this-book-to-all-my-friends-with-children-and-maybe-to-some-grown-up-friends-too-because-it-s-just-soooooo-adorable! What a shame the financial goal wasn´t met. What´s the current status quo, I was wondering? Have you found another solution in the meantime? Best of luck and keep me up to date, please.
Best wishes,
Diana (from the vegan brunch in Luxembourg)
Thank you Diana! Yes, I was very excited about the book as well, as I could not find anything of this kind on the market. My toddler loves it, and she often requests that we read it to her. We are now looking for book publishers that would help us bring this project to life. I will keep you updated 🙂
