October is the perfect month to start building a new habit. As we transition into the colder seasons, we change our diets and crave more warming and comforting food. Unfortunately, often times we tend to get that comfort from unhealthy food choices. Setting a new intention and creating a plan to adopt a healthier lifestyle can be challenging, but there are a few steps you can follow that will make the process of new habit building easier and more successful. We will cover these steps during the workshop. I have teamed up with Nature Elemtents in Howald* for this workshop and they will provide the organic and fair-trade ingredients for the recipe demonstration.
The workshop is split into two parts:
- Theoretical part during which we will discuss how habits are built, and how to create a new habit. We will also focus on the role of willpower to make healthier food choices.
- Practical / recipe demonstration part where I will show you 3 recipes that will cover three common issues when transitioning to a healthier diet:
- Sweet cravings
- Reducing unhealthy fat intake
- Eating more fruits and vegetables
You will receive a handout covering how sustainable habits are build and the three recipes we will prepare during the workshop.
*Important note: Nature Elements will host us in their beautiful space in HOWALD, which is not the same location as in the previous workshops. There are plenty of parking spaces available just outside of the restaurant.
Below you’ll find some pictures from the workshop.
