2017.11.29 – Eating Healthy On A Budget

I have been asked this question many times – how can one afford healthy, or even organic food, when they have a tight budget? It is something many people seem to struggle with, and often times they give up on the idea they can eat healthy all the time, because they already are convinced it is not sustainable. If you are also struggling with similar thoughts, let me stop you right here! Eating healthy food can be reasonable, and there are a few things you can do to up your intake on healthy food, and save some money along the way too.

During this workshop I will share with you a few tips that you can start implementing straight away to save money on your grocery shopping, as well as a few food preparation techniquesthat will allow you to eat healthier all week long.

I have teamed up with Nature Elemtents in Howald* for this workshop and they will provide the organic and fair-trade ingredients for the recipe demonstration.

The workshop is split in two parts:

  1. Theoretical part during which you will learn how to save money on your grocery shopping, while choosing nutrient-rich foods.
  2. Practical/ recipe demonstration part where I will show you three recipes that are time-saving, nutritious and not expensive.

You will receive a handout with useful tips on how to shop wisely as well as the three recipes so you can start cooking at home.

*Important note: Nature Elements will host us in their beautiful space in HOWALD just like last month. There are plenty of parking spaces available just outside of the restaurant.
