I would like to share with you a simple and delicious smoothie recipe today. Now that summer is finally here (or at least it is July, even if the weather is not always playing along) it is the perfect time for some cooling drinks. I love this smoothie, and I have it sometimes for breakfast or if I feel like I would like something chocolatey and creamy :).
It is filling, as it contains banana and avocado, but trust me, you won’t even taste them. Also a great option for kids, if you are trying to make them eat more fruits and vegetables, as it really tastes like a treat, but without the sugar or other nasty ingredients ;). The secret to making this smoothie more appropriate for summer time is by adding lots of ice cubes. They will give more of a frappé consistency and will cool you down too.
So here is what you will need for this super easy and yummy smoothie:
Ingredients (Serves 2)*:
- 1 banana (you can also use a frozen banana)
- 1/4 avocado
- 1 cup non dairy milk (I used rice and coconut milk)
- 4 tsp cacao powder
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 2 tsp hulled hemp seeds
- Ice cubes (as many as you like)
- Place all ingredients in a high speed blender and blend until you reach a creamy texture.
